All batteries self discharge over time. This rate is determined by the age of the batteries and the surrounding air temperature. Before storing the cart, fully charge batteries and then fill them with distilled water. While being stored, recharge the batteries every 25 - 30 days.
*If your batteries ever fully discharge then they will be damaged beyond repair.
