I also read something that stated that a resistor needed to be disconnected from the controller when testing it. Is that something I needed to do? Should I do any other tests on the controller to help confirm failure?

It was for checking the controller input

CHECKING CONTROLLER INPUT

Connect (-) probe to B- terminal. Connect (+) probe to B+ terminal.

The reading should indicate approx. 0 volts with the resistor REMOVED and the pedal not pressed in the last 15-30 minutes.

Being the controller looked like it was "leaking" voltage ( got the 27 V at initial test before pressing the acellerator, and it rising to 37 but only dropping down to 27 and not 0, I am just going to get a new controller and motor setup. Any suggestions on a good match?

It is lifted with large off road tires and a back seat

Got my new motor and the controller is arriving today. I have read that the wires should be run together in pairs to the motor. Should I run A1 - F1 together or A1-A2 together?
